Cheese & Fruit/Vegetable Plate

on September 12, 2013

While this may seem obvious to some  it took me a while to consider that dinner could be simply a lovely combination of different cheeses and a thinly sliced apple or pear, or a few berries. Some celery, jicama, radishes, or other crudité is yet more to love. On a special night a glass of wine makes a nice addition. My spouse and I share this repast with great pleasure. Occasionally I make some almond meal crackers to go along.

A cheese plate is also a great dish to take to a party insuring you have something you can enjoy, too.

For party I often make a vegetable tray with a cream cheese dip. Here’s one version that is easy to make:

1 block or tub (8-10oz) softened cream cheese

2Tbs dried onion

2Tbs red &/or green sweet pepper

Mix and refrigerate to let flavors meld.

Opt: Add salt, pepper, garlic, parsley, etc.
