Spicy Celery with Italian Sausage

This is a new recipe I found on the New York Times, and adapted to my needs, but is basically as follows:

Slice one bunch of celery in 1-2 inch pieces (about 6 cups raw), set aside. Saute one Italian sausage sliced, with diced onion 2 Tbs, minced garlic 1 Tbs, and diced tomato-1 small, then add celery and braise until tender (about 10 minutes). This is very tasty and can be a side dish, or add more sausage for a main dish.
